My +opinion+ is that a site optimized for the iPhone is just a web site
that, well, has been optimized for the iPhone. Example: Wunderground's
iPhone site http://i.wund.com
Whereas a web app is an application that is accessed via the web.
Example: MetrO (public transportation routing info for public
transportation systems across the planet) http://i-metro.mobi
